Improving dental quality

Our dental services perform among the best in the state for quality, timeliness and reduced patient returns.

In the past year we saw almost 7000 clients, providing best value dental care to our community.

During the year we also completed a comprehensive update to our dental clinic under our Dental Sterilisation Refurbishment Project to further improve the quality of our service.

The project was initiated to ensure our ongoing compliance to new National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) standards developed by the Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care (ACSQHC).

The project enabled the creation of a central sterilisation facility to process the instruments from the dental and podiatry clinics.  A storeroom, a lab room and exclusive storage area for sterile instruments were also created with minor improvements to the existing surgeries/rooms within the dental clinic.

Reconciliation Action Plan

We proudly launched our ‘Reflect’ Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) in May, in the presence of local Boon Wurrong People, local councillors, service partners, volunteers and staff.
